Timothy Colbert, born in 1977 in Anniston, Alabama, is a Southern California based fine art sculptor and educator.  He began his artistic endeavors at the age of seven after the loss of his father.  Encouraged by his mother to create, he fostered an appreciation for the processes involved in creating fine art.

In 2004, Timothy graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts in studio art glass blowing and a Minor in chemistry.  After receiving his teaching credential from The University of Redlands in 2007, Timothy was presented with the opportunity to teach both art and science at Redlands High School.  Being a lifelong learner, Timothy continued his education and received his Masters of Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  This experience has allowed Timothy great opportunities, such as the opportunity to display his work at The Palace of Fine Arts in downtown San Francisco during the 2013 Academy of Art University Spring Show.

His fascination with naturally occurring form and pattern, as a result of his science education, has focused his artistic aesthetic to include scientific process within the studio and references rooted in the microscopic realm of life.
